The featured photo for this post is the first dragonfly I ever made. It can also be seen on the gallery pages here. The first one was, let’s just say, a little rough. I felt like I did everything wrong, but I got through it (the colors in the wings did turn out really nice). But you have to start somewhere and when you are inventing things from scratch, the first ‘anything’ is always a challenge.
That’s why I like the above quote. It’s from Reed Hastings, co-founder and current CEO of Netflix. He’s talking about software; I think it applies to art just as well.
Cant be afraid of failure. That overused Nike slogan comes to mind: Just Do It!
